I believe the beauty expressed by Amy and Andrew through their photography is primarily a reflection of their gentle human nature and of their knowledge to approach each person or landscape with the belief that they can explore a moment and stop time in the right second as to capture the essence. I have seen that not only while posing or afterwards in the pictures, but across all their work and in their behavior. I never imagined feeling so comfortable during a photoshoot and most of all I did not expect the pictures to be so complex; it’s wonderfully surprising to look from the outside and discover a variety of aspects about myself, each displaying the same authenticity. Needless to say these are the best photos I have and that I feel fortunate to have met this perfect and very talented couple.
Chin Wedding Reception 1.15.11 (Redondo Beach, CA)
Andrew and Amy are like stealthy ninja’s – I barely even noticed them shooting during our wedding ceremony and reception, but after seeing all the pictures, I knew they didn’t miss a beat. They were both extremely flexible with times for our two events (our ceremony was in November and our reception was in January), they both arrived bright and early for our “getting ready” shots and then stayed much later than all of our guests to make sure we had time to take our on location shots as a couple and also as a family. Unlike a lot of other photographers who watch the clock very closely and charge by the hour, Andrew and Amy were around much longer than they needed to to make sure they were able to capture all the pictures that we wanted for our day.
One of my key beliefs is: you can always tell the pride of someone’s work, never before, sometimes during, and always after. And after seeing how all our photo’s came out, the pride and expertise of their photography spoke for themselves. They were awesome! AX2D spent a little over a month after the wedding going through every one of the over 1,000 photos they took to make sure they all came out perfectly. They not only adjusted obvious things like lighting and brightness, but also touched up a lot of small details, like whitening our teeth(!) – I can’t even imagine how many hours had to go into this.
We liked the photos so much, we decided to use one of the them for our thank you cards we are sending out to our guests. After I told Andrew and Amy about my idea, they even helped us design several different cards for us to choose from. Now we have these custom unique cards we can send to everyone – how cool is that?
I couldn’t be happier with all the help AX2D gave us, I’d recommend them to anyone.
Monica & Garrett 9.05.10 (Pleasanton, CA)
Monica: Ax2D Photography shot both our engagement pictures at UCLA (where we met) and our civil ceremony at SF City Hall. We couldn’t be more pleased!
Amy and Andrew are a great team. With both photo shoots, they were receptive to our input and researched the locations ahead of time to make sure to get the best shots. On the day of the shoot, …they were punctual and prepared. I was a little nervous about our engagement session because I’m not used to being kissy in front of other people, but Amy and Andrew put us at ease. We were very comfortable in front of them and they got some amazing shots.
At our civil ceremony, they truly outdid themselves. I had some specific requests for some photos – I wanted to recreate some of my parents’ civil ceremony shots and Amy and Andrew truly delivered. They really have an eye for setting up great images, but are also skilled at achieving a photojournalistic style – so you get the best of both worlds. We love the images and will cherish them forever! They were also very prompt in the delivery of the images. I am having a hard time narrowing them down to put in frames around the house. Thank you Ax2D Photography! We hope to continue working with you for all of our big life events!
Garrett: Monica and I had the pleasure of being photographed by Amy and Andrew for multiple special occasions. They both have great artistic vision and had were able to quickly envision what types of shots would work best for us. I feel like they were really able to capture our personalities in the photos. It was great because they set us up for some poses here and there, but mainly they were able to capture the two of us just enjoying each other’s company. Throughout each session they were truly great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. The thing I liked the best was that each of them has a slightly different vision so we got a wider range of great photos. Thank you Ax2D!

I had a personal portrait photo shoot with Amy and Andrew, so easy going, they are definitely a laid back couple to work with. Would recommend them to anyone for awesome pictures. I am blown away by their creativity and drive. The pictures they took look amazing. I can’t believe how great they turned out.
I think I’ve made life long friend
Kou Family 7.4.10 (Walnut Creek, CA)
Ax2D did a fantastic job shooting for my family. They had great ideas, and spent time preparing for the shoot before even coming out to our home. The photos came out better than we had hoped. I would recommend them to anyone. I look forward to using them again in the future!
Mantik Family 6.13.10 (Chino Hills, CA)
Amy and Andrew did an amazing job for our family , baby and graduation pictures. We couldn’t be happier with the results. It was also nice not having to wait for forever to get the proofs back.
I asked if they can do it as soon as possible because we need to return my husband graduation gown, and they make their time available right away for us. They were quick to respond to our needs. They are very flexible and easy to work with. They got a lot of ideas for poses and location. Both have different ideas and flow, but that’s what makes them unique and creative. Amy edited on my shots right away, and they are wonderful! My mother and mother in law already ask for the pictures to be printed or enlarged.
I fully recommended Amy and Andrew to anyone. Thank you for your hard work.
Christine & Terence 8.14.10 (San Francisco, CA)
Amy and Andrew did an engagement session with us a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast AND got some great shots. I appreciated their flexibility with us and our schedule and their genuine enthusiasm about us as a couple and our engagement photos. They were very willing to accommodate our ideas and desires and contributed some great ideas of their own, one of which took into account some very special aspects of our relationship. 🙂
I would certainly recommend Ax2D to friends, family, and strangers alike!
